W/C 12/1/2009 week 2 training

Oh dear seems a bit doom and gloom this week. Meg is still off running till she gets the OK from Dee (podiatrist) but she's definately on the mend. I've done something to the front of my right leg (currently sat with frozen peas on it) and Liz says under her right foot was hurting this morning - and it's only week 2!!

Ed is away with work this week but apparently still training (doing more than what he should be though!).

Anyway it's my birthday tomorrow (Sunday) so definately not running! We were out celebrating on Friday night and had a great time (but I was good and didn't drink too much). So lets see what week 3 brings us...

1st week comm 5/1/09 FLM training

Well the 1st week of London training is underway! Already we (as in Elizabeth,Meg and Edward and I) can't decide which Runners World schedule to follow - will it be 4.30 hours or 4 hours. At the moment we are going for 4 hours and seeing how it goes mileage wise. Jackie is following the 3hr 45 schedule so she has to go a bit faster than us (tee hee!).

Monday night we did 3 miles at tempo pace which wasn't easy for Ed, Jackie and I as we'd done the Pennine 10k the day before. But we managed.

Tuesday night Hazel did a very slow 3 miles in -2 degrees but at least it's done. Thursday night a slow 4 miles and Sunday morning finished the week with 7 miles. So we're on plan but this morning poor Meg's calf is hurting - hope she's going to be OK :-(
